We made this card at my Leadership event in Michigan last weekend. It's just gorgeous in person as the water is sparkly! My gals are making it tonight at Stamping Bingo!
How do you do this? Well I suggest you pick up ink or ink refill with the Wink of Stella from another surface; not the lid of your ink pad. The reason for this is you can leave shimmer from the Wink of Stella pen when you're working and if you squeeze the ink pad you'll pick up that shimmer/sparkle.
The stamp set is called By the Bay and it's free with any $50 order during Sale-a-Bration!
The birds and water image was stamped in Black Stazon ink. I used Balmy Blue ink for the water coloring. It did pick up a little bit of the Crumb Cake marker that I colored the birds with as you can likely see. I didn't mind it too much. Tip; use the Wink of Stella first, then color in your birds!
Details:
- Crumb Cake card 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
- Gingham Gala DSP 1" X 5 1/2"
- White thick card stock 3" X 4"
- Balmy Blue 3 1/4" X 4 1/4"
- Greeting is on a 1" circle, then a 1 1/8" scalloped circle punch
- Braided trim around the back of the card
Congratulations on your milestone - how wonderful! I found your blog while searching for samples of this card and WOW! I'm in awe! I love the freshness and serene feel to this. New follower of your blog!
