Home for the Holidays is the theme for this month's Control Freaks Blog Hop! We have a wonderful line up of Holiday projects for you. Sit back and enjoy the tour!
If you just arrived, be sure to stay on the tour so you can see Kelly's projects who was just before me. She does fabulous work; and I usually think 'Why didn't I think of that!?'
Today I'm featuring projects from the Exclusive November special offer; the Snowflake Showcase products!
First up is one of the cards we made at my November Card Clubs. It's an easel fun fold card in Gorgeous Grape and Whisper White. We heat embossed the pretty snowfall image at the top with White embossing powder. The vellum banner adds such a pretty touch. I've got to use vellum more often!
The intricate detail on the die-cuts is incredible! And besides lots of snowflake images, it also includes many beautiful greetings in the stamp set too. It's one of those 'must haves' for your winter collection.
You may be wondering where I got the pretty greeting tags shape. It's made with the Everyday Label punch! You can create any length of punch you'd like. You'll use it like I show in the photo below. I'll share details in my video later this week.
Measurements:
- Gorgeous Grape - card 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4", 3 3/4" X 5"
Whisper White - two pieces at 4" X 5 1/4", 1/2" X 5" strip and large piece for snowflake die-cut
Silver foil or glimmer paper for small snowflake 1 1/4" square (or a snowflake trinket)
Vellum - 1 1/4" X 4 3/4" strip

After cutting out these White snowflakes for the cards above I had a ton of white snowflake 'window' pieces left over. With my thrifty nature, I just had to find a way to use them. So I came up with these two cards:
I added a white square of card stock between the Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point layers and randomly sponged on these three ink colors; Pacific Point, Blackberry Bliss and Coastal Cabana.
The greeting is from the November special Snowflake Showcase stamp set; Happiness Surrounds.
And here's another version in a similar layout:
Here I sponged Bermuda Bay on a square of Pool Party card stock. This piece is adhered between the white and Bermuda Bay layers. Then I added two more intricate snowflakes from the Snowfall Thinlits with White and Silver Glimmer paper. I love using up these extra pieces!
The greeting is from the Snow is Glistening stamp set, the Bermuda Bay striped ribbon is in our Annual Catalog.
****Remember that these special Snowflake products are only available in November; while supplies last!
And now you're off to see what Debbie has to share. I get a lot of great ideas from her!
