Sweet & Simple Springtime Impressions

This pretty bundle is going to be popular!!! It's the Abstract Impressions bundle on page 129 of the 2018-19 Annual Catalog.

Do you like quick and easy cards?  Well the die-cuts from Springtime Impressions may be what you need! 

1. Here I die-cut the pretty piece from White card stock and sponged the roses lightly with Grapefruit Grove. I also sponged a bit of Mint on a few of the leaf areas. 
2. I added it to the Mint card stock (4" X 5 1/4") with small drops of liquid multipurpose adhesive. 
3. I heat embossed the greeting from the Enjoy Life stamp set with White embossing powder.  
4. Add a few pearls.
5. Adhere the Grapefruit layer (1 1/2" X 4 1/4") and then the Mint CS to the White card (5 1/2" X 8 1/2")

This next card is a swap I received from Robyn Cardon.  I love her fun layout and this color combination!

She used Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay with Highland Heather.  She also added Gorgeous George ink on her roses.  Love that Silver Glimmer butterfly!

Rooted in Nature swap card

I received this beautiful swap from Lynn Feldkamp and offered it as a make and take at my last Team meeting.  I love the monochromatic look of this card in Soft Suede and Whisper White.  

The Nature's Poem designer paper coordinates so beautifully with this bundle; it's amazing!  I highly recommend you get both!  And then add on the Nature's Twine too!  The 4 colors in the twine match the designer paper beautifully! The Layered Leaves embossing folder also coordinates with this suite of products.  Such a great card!

Healing Hugs; a beautiful choice

One of my talented downline made this card; Carolyn E.  The Healing Hugs stamp set was on my list so I was thrilled to receive this gorgeous card. 

The colors are Coastal Cabana and Pear Pizzazz.  My photo turned out a bit darker than the true colors.  

Another top favorite of mine is the new Tufted embossing folder.  I was super excited about this one!  I think it's going to be one of the most popular choices out of our new folders.

So pretty! Painted Glass & Graceful Glass card

 I changed a lot of perceptions on this pretty Painted Glass stamp set, bundle and incredible Graceful Glass vellum at my June card clubs!  

Some didn't think it was their style.  Others thought it would be difficult to work with.  Well once they made one of these pretty cards they were convinced they'd use them and love their projects too! 

If you like to color, this vellum is for you!  Seriously; it's just that good!  We colored with regular water based markers; although any markers would work.  Blends would be fabulous! 

Vellum Tips:

1. I recommend coloring on the back side as that hides any imperfections. 
2. Adhere with Multipurpose adhesive.  You can use a few little dots on the colored areas or the black lines, or a very thin smear here and there.  It doesn't show! 
3. Adhere your colored vellum to a piece of White card stock and the colors are nice and true.

Best Sale Ever!

We had a record turnout for our big stamping and scrapbooking sale this weekend.  It was a huge success mostly due to my amazing events team that organizes it.  Here are some of the photos of this year's annual sale. 

I'll preface these pictures with an apology for teasing those of you who could not be here!

We had 26 sellers this year who sold some of their current supplies to make room for new products! And to make money to purchase their new items. 

Our sales were over $6000 this year!  Absolutely incredible!  The weather was perfect and we all enjoyed seeing people take advantage of the amazing deals we had to offer.

Varied Vases cool fun fold card with video!

This is the card we made at my June card clubs with the Varied Vases bundle.  

I was inspired by a card my friend Susie Wood made; I loved her color combination and had to make one too!  I changed it up to be a double flap card.  I'm not sure where the idea for this fun fold came from.  I've seen other double flap cards but not quite like this one.

Abstract Impressions & the Blends with glitter!

The Abstract Impressions bundle was one of my first purchases from the new Annual Catalog.

I'm loving this pretty die-cut butterfly that's in the Springtime Impressions framelits.  Look!

The framelits include this pretty butterfly, a big corner die full  of flowers and another few smaller dies.  It's also available in a bundle with the Abstract Impressions stamp set.

Steps:

1. Die-cut the butterfly from White CS.
2. Place this die-cut over another piece of White CS and trace the edges.  Fussy cut out. 
3. Color this piece with Bermuda Bay and Rich Razzleberry Blends. 
4. Adhere 2-way glue or Fine Tip Glue to this and sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. 
5. Adhere the two butterflies together in the center.  
6. Use the corner rounder on the Detailed Trio punch on the left edges of the 2 pieces of CS.  
7. Stamp as shown. 
8. Heat emboss the greeting with White embossing powder.  
9. Texture the Razzleberry layer and wrap Baker's twine around the right side. 
10. Adhere all layers together as shown.

June Control Freaks Blog Hop; New Catalog Happiness

Welcome to June's Control Freak Blog Hop!!  We're so excited to share our new catalog projects with you!

Both of my projects feature the new Varied Vases bundle; I think it's super fun and full of a variety of images to play with. 

This first one was inspired by my friend Susie Wood; she made a fantastic card with this color combination and Vases bundle. I changed it up to be a unique fun fold card for my June Card Clubs. 

The colors are Pineapple Punch with Black and White; a striking combo! Our new Pineapple Punch is a bright and happy yellow.

I'm not sure how I came up with this unique fold but it seems familiar ....maybe I've done it in the past?!!  It has two flaps that open to reveal the inside; one folds to the side and one vertical.  Interactive cards are just plain fun; for us to make and for the recipient! 

I think the new Tulle polka dot ribbon coordinates beautifully with the In Color Designer Paper I used here.  

I've created a quick video on how to make this card, along with a great tip for these stamps and Vases Builder punch.  You can stamp once and punch once! I'll post it later this week so stop back in! 

Here's a photo of how I lined up my stamps to match the punch. 

Tip: Use your punch on a piece of card stock. Then lay that over your clear block.  Position the stamps under the card stock, lining the punched areas up with the stamps.  It might take a bit of adjusting but it works!  (My stamps have been used all month in Black Memento ink so they're a bit stained now.) 

Measurements:
- Pineapple Punch 4 1/4" X 5 1/2", 2 1/4" circle
- Black 3 1/4" X 11" scored at 5 1/2", Black square 2 3/8", 1" X 3 1/2" strip, scored at 1 1/2"
- White inside 2 3/4 X 5" plus 2" starburst circle punch & scraps for punched vases
- Designer paper 2 3/4" square

Here's another fun fold card.  Can you tell I like to make them? In fact each month my card clubs make one fun fold card and I always share the how to video.  

The back of this card is simply a quarter sheet or 4 1/4" X 5 1/2".  It's the black piece that actually opens to reveal the inside greeting.  I chose my color combination of Mango Melody, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo with Black and White from the new Garden Impressions designer paper stack.  It pairs wonderfully with the Varied Vases bundle! 

Measurements:

• Melon Mambo 4 1/4" X 5 1/4"
• Black 3" X 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
• White inside and front 2 1/2" X 3 3/4" plus scraps for vases 
• Mango Melody banner is 1 3/4" X 5 1/4" & front layer 2 5/8" X 3 7/8"
• Garden Impressions banners - 1"X 5"
