Have you seen what you can create with the Smitten Mittens thinlits? Penguins!
The body is the full mitten framelit with the 'thumb' trimmed off. The flippers are also the full mittens framelit but two of them; one turned backwards. The feet and nose are from one of the star dies included in these Mitten Builder thinlits. The eyes are stamped with the circle image included in the Tags & Trimmings set.
Here's a close up of the hat.
I used the full mittens die and trimmed it off. Then I textured it with the Cable Knit Dynamic embossing folder. The holly leaves and berries are from the Trim your Stocking Thinlits. This Holiday catalog sure is full of wonderful products! It will be sad to see them go.
I am so sorry that this amazing Mittens bundle is one of the retiring items; gone as of January 2nd. If you want it be sure to order it soon.
There are quite a few versions out there and I just had to make one myself.
And here's another one made by Candace; one of my talented downline.
I love their fun hats! She used either washi tape or 1/8" ribbons for the brims. I think the cute tassels are from a daisy punch; but I'm not sure. And for those of you who haven't purchased this Winter Wonder snowflake embossing folder yet; it's retiring on January 2nd! Get it while you can.
This is such a cute idea for a card and a smart idea using the Framelits to make the penguin. To bad it will be retiring.
