I've seen so many versions of this type of card I had to make one myself. I knew my friend Clarisse would love it so we all made it at her workshop last month. They loved it!
The square background was done by inking up a D block in Soft Sky ink and spritzing water on it before stamping. We stamped on our Thick Whisper White CS since it holds up to moisture better than our Whisper White CS. Shimmer or Watercolor Paper would also work well.
The High Tide & Colorful Seasons bundle pair up beautifully don't they? I made a video showing you this technique. I used a red chair on one card; which do you prefer?
Watch to get a few of my tips on this technique and more.
Measurements:
- Pool Party main card 4 1/4" X 11"
- Soft Suede CS 3 7/8" X 5 1/8"
- Thick Whisper White 3 3/4" X 5"
Welcome Back!!!!! LeeAnn , Love this card!! I love both , but I really love the pop of red ... I take it the water was stamped in pool party ?
And I adore this old technique of stamping with a block .. awesome ..
x hugs Anne

I can see I'm going to have to give in and get the High Tide stamps. So many sets I love, I just haven't gotten to this one yet.
The red chair speaks to me. I think I would choose that one. Fun and a nice "pop" of color!
Thank you for sharing!

I like both the brown and the red chair, but I think I'd use the red myself. Thanks for another great lesson.
