Welcome to another fantastic Control Freaks blog hop! This month's theme is 'Celebrate'. You'll see a nice variety of events on this hop.
You may have just arrived from Wendy's blog; I am sure you were amazed by her creativity.

My first project is a Spring Sampler I made with my downline. We each designed a square and made enough for everyone swapping.
We chose to use the beautiful Falling in Love designer series paper as our color scheme. We did add Mint Macaron for a green since we thought we'd need grass or leaves option. Aren't they all beautiful?! I will share the products for each square later this week in another blog post.
But I will give you our dimensions. Each square is 2 1/4" at the largest. The 9 squares are adhered to a Mint Macaron 8" square and then onto a 8 1/2" Vanilla square. They are adhered to one big 12" sheet of our Blushing Bride glimmer paper! *I have to admit that I used my Stampin' Trimmer to cut out a big square of this glimmer paper from behind the center; I just couldn't let that go to waste!

My next project is a fun technique I'm calling Paper Weaving. I used the new Glimmer Paper that will be available on February 21st. It's part of our newest Sale-a-Bration promotion you can get FREE with a $50 order! It's just gorgeous and you get four 6 X 6" sheets each of Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron & Sweet Sugarplum!
First I cut a window using the Balloon Framelit die. Then working on the back side I added 1/4" strips of one color of the glimmer paper diagonally. I found glue dots worked best here. Then add the other colored strips in the opposite direction, weaving them between the first set. The images are from the Birthday Bright stamp set.
I will be posting a video on this technique in a week or so.

And now you're off to see what Cindy has to share with you. I love her work and I'm sure you will too!
Wow these are so so George's
Glad I found your hop again. It has been a while and I recently looked up Cindy and found this hope and am so glad I did
What an inspiring idea for both projects.

Both your examples are adorable. I've never done a sampler so I think spring would be the perfect time. The balloon is darling, too!

Love your sampler! That Glimmer Paper really sets it off! Using the woven Glimmer Paper for the balloon was an awesome idea. That balloon looks like it is made of Mylar. Genius! Thanks so much for sharing!

OoOoo, I love the glimmer paper weaving! That's really outside the box thinking, and a good way to make that lovely paper go farther. (But I'm still gonna hoard it, LOL.)
