Check out this amazing card my assistant Pat made! She was making one for her niece and made one for a display.
She used the No Bones About it stamp set and the Botanical Builder framelits for the leaves. Yes; she hand-cut the dinosaurs! She stamped them first and cut on the edges. The stamped side is on the back. Here's a view from the side:
Here's a view of how the card folds up for mailing. Finished it's an A2 side card (4 1/4" X 5 1/2".
She sponged a sky background with Soft Sky ink and then added the white clouds using the Tree Builder punch. Here it is partially closed; ready to go in the envelope.
The measurements here are:
- The main card is 10" X 8 1/2". Score it at 4 1/4" on the 8 1/2" side. Score at 5 1/2" on the 10 side. Then cut from the 5 1/2" scoreline to the center 4 1/4" scoreline cutting off the outer triangles.
- Vanilla layers on top are 4" X 5 1/4"
- Vanilla triangle layers on the bottom are 3 7/8" along the upper edge, long outside edge is 5 5/8", inner edge is 4".
To attach the leaves and dinosaurs that pop up she bent the legs and leaf stems a bit and adhered these small areas to the card.
