I am excited to share this amazing fun fold/box fold card with you today! My creative genius friend Susie Wood made one like this for her customers and she so generously shares her cool ideas with lucky me!
I used the Party Wishes bundle on page 5 of the Occasions catalog. It's all retiring at the end of May! I cannot believe it really; I've used the daylights out of this stamp set and punch bundle!
In the photo above the card on the left is how it looks folded closed and the right photo is how it looks fully open. It has a gift card holder at the bottom. And you might be confused on the colors I'm showing above. I made two cards; one in Crushed Curry and one in Mint Macaron.
It is known as a quarter fold card but I like to call it a 'box fold' card since it reminds me of how I fold the top of my boxes. It actually uses two half card pieces to make the unique, interactive fold. You should watch my video on how to make this; it's so much easier than it looks but there are a few important tips you should know!
Measurements:
- Crushed Curry/Mint Macaron card - 5 1/2" X 8 1/2", scored at 2 1/8" from each short edge. ( I actually double scored it to make two score lines almost on top of each other)
- Whisper White - 4 3/16" X 11", scored at 2 3/4" from each end.
- Designer Paper pieces on the front are 3 7/8" X 2 1/2"
- Designer paper for gift card inside - 2" X 4"
- Black piece for banner layer - 1 5/8" X 3 1/4"
