This is one of the cards we made at my May card clubs. I got the idea from my stamping buddy Susie Wood. We love to share ideas and 'craft' together via text and email; sure wish we lived closer! But I get to spend a week with her on our Stampin' Up! incentive trip this week. We're on a Mediterranean cruise!
I wanted to use the Happy Home stamp set and Hearth and Home dies bundle for one of our cards and this fit my needs! It was meant to be a Father's Day card for my gals if they needed one. For others they could use other sentiments for theirs. I think it's a perfect gender neutral card; great for quite a few occasions really.
Measurements are as follows:
- The Black card base is the standard 5 1/2" X 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4".
- White layer is 4" X 5 1/4"
- Wild Wasabi layer is 3 7/8" X 5 1/8"
- It's My Party designer paper is 2 1/4" X 3 7/8"
I added a strip of Everyday Chic Washi Tape across the middle and on the inside. Watch my video to see the tips on sponging and adding the window die-cut and tag.
You should know that this stamp set is retiring at the end of May. It is in a bundle with the Hearth and Home dies on page 21 in the Occasions catalog. The dies will be in the new catalog but sold separately from any other stamp set.
