Helping me Grow

Here's a pretty card made with the 'Helping me Grow' stamp set.  It's on page 20 in your Occasions catalog. It's full of two pretty and big floral images and lots more greetings and more.  

Here I used Black Archival ink to stamp the image onto my Whisper White CS.  I then used the ink from the lid of my Rich Razzleberry & Old Olive ink pads and an aqua-painter to color in the pretty images.  

I chose to add part of a paper doily behind the banner greeting along with a 3/8" X 4" Razzleberry banner strip.  This banner outline image coordinates with the Rose Garden thinlits dies.

In the Meadow creates gorgeous scenes!

I love stamps that make it fun and easy to create pretty scenes!  In the Meadow does just that.  Look!

I used a few different techniques to create the colors on these cards.  I sure hope you like them!  Here are the details on each one.

Above I stamped the images in Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede ink.  I sponged the trees and grass green and added color to the deer with Soft Suede ink and a Blender pen. The greeting is from 'A Dozen Thoughts'.

Measurements are: Very Vanilla card stock 5 ½” X 8 ½” for main card, 3 ¾” X 5” for main image & ½” X 3” for banner,  Soft Suede 1 ¾” X 5 ½”, Mossy Meadow CS is 3 7/8” X 5 1/8”. 

For this card I stamped all images in Early Espresso on Watercolor Paper.  I used Old Olive marker to color in the trees and grass.  I do suggest you heat set the Espresso ink before add the marker color so it doesn't smear.  I used an Aqua-Painter to color in the water using Marina Mist ink (from the lid of the ink pad). 

Measurements are: WC paper 3 5/8" X 4 7/8", Marina Mist CS is 3 3/4" X 5", Sahara Sand CS 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"

I stamped the images in Black Archival ink onto Watercolor Paper.  I used an Aqua-Painter to add Delightful Dijon and Pumpkin Pie ink to the trees and grass and Soft Suede ink for the deer.  

Measurements here are WC paper 3 3/4" X 5", Dijon is 4 1/8" X 5 1/8", tear the left long edge.  Black main card is 5 1/2" X 8 1/2".

Rose Garden Puzzle or Stained Glass card video

You've likely been seeing a lot of these gorgeous puzzle cards made with the Rose Garden Thinlit dies.  Some are calling them stained glass too. Here I will show you my version of how to create this beautiful look with the help of a simple kitchen item; Glad Press & Seal wrap.  It makes this process so easy!

The left card is made with Watermelon Wonder, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz & Old Olive CS.  And Black and White too of course. The right card has Pink Pirouette & Blushing Bride and the same other colors.  Which is your favorite? 

These cards remind me of my mother who passed away almost 5 years ago; she loved and grew beautiful roses in her garden. She would have loved the bright Coral one.  I am also a gardener (hence the Flowerbug moniker) but I cannot grow roses like she could!

March Card Kits to go!

It's been awhile since I offered a set of my monthly card-duo kits.  If you like getting pre-cut card kits where the measuring and cutting is done for you then this set of cards is perfect.  And it's a fabulous deal too! It's been requested again by a few people so here are my March card kits:

If you look closely I used the same pieces to create two different cards. This is so you can choose either layout to re-create your own version using the stamps that you own.

This first set is Whisper White, Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz; a beautiful, crisp Spring like combination.  I used the Grateful Bunch, And Many More and the Friends and Flowers stamp sets here.  

This next set is Bermuda Bay, Silver, White and Black.  I used the Suite Sayings and Timeless Textures stamp sets.

This last set features Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive and Whisper White.  The Designer Paper is our Sale-a-Bration Wildflower Fields.  The stamp sets are Birthday Blossoms and Pedal Pusher; also a Sale-a-Bration choice.  

It's fun to use your creativity with the products you own to finish the cards in your own way.  

I am offering these kits to my online or long distance customers now too.  Even though I show you 6 cards you receive 3 kits of each set, or 9 card kits total. The kits include all of the pre-cut card stock pieces, embelishments and ribbons.  It does not include textured layers or punched and stamped images.

Washi Tape & Botanical Blooms

I was playing with my stash of Washi Tape and came up with this eye-catching card:

It's such a simple card but pretty too.  I used the Everyday Chic and Bohemian Designer Washi Tape with the Botanical Builder Framelit dies.  The greeting is from the Suite Sayings in the Occasions catalog. I colored the image with markers to get the 2-toned colors.  

After I die-cut the White flower from the main White panel here I adhered a piece of Island Indigo card stock behind the opening.  Then I adhered the flower back in place, lifting up the inner petals a bit.  I added another Black die-cut flower along with a punched Bermuda Bay flower from the Tree Builder punch.

What do you think?  I do like the clean look of a mostly White card.

Here's what I did with some of the extras from my first kit.  

I used a two of our note cards for the front two cards; just stamping and adding the extra die-cut stickers and banners I had left over in my kit.  For the back two cards I cut a sheet of Blackberry Bliss CS in half and cut an extra note card in half for the front to stamp  on.  All of these extras were from my original kit; I love that they give us extras!!

Pretty Birthday Bouquet Designer Paper

A shout out to all of you who have subscribed or check my blog projects often!  I sure appreciate you!

I remember when I first started this blog in 2008.  It was mostly for my local customers to communicate and show the projects we did at classes. Now I have tons of people visit from all over the world and am quickly approaching 5 million views!  WOW!!!  It's quite unbelievable that this amazing and addicting craft has made such a difference in my life!  Lucky me to have you to share with! 

This pretty card highlights the beautiful Birthday Bouquet designer paper.  It's a great combination of birthday, stripes, dotted and floral patterns in gorgeous colors of Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride, Pool Party & more.  

Here I used the Triple Banner punch to easily get the banner ends of the Designer Paper punched.  I added Blushing Bride sequins and cotton ribbon along with White Baker's Twine.  The greeting is from the Suite Sayings on page 41 in the Occasions catalog.
