First I want to share a project I made for my Team Meeting last weekend. It's a card box that holds 6 full-sized A2 cards with envelopes; perfect for gift giving!
I used the Flowering Fields Sale-a-Bration set and Rose Wonder for the greetings. I stamped the images using Black Archival ink and colored the images with my Subtles markers. I also added a variety of 1" strips of Soft Subtles Backgrounds papers on each to pull the colors together. I made this card box using the Envelope Punch Board which is on sale this week! I've created a video tutorial on this card box and will post that next week so stop back in!
Here are the measurements for the cards:
- White main card 5 1/2" X 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- White stamped layer 3 1/4" X 4 1/2"
- Black layer 3 3/8" X 4 5/8"; black strip 4" X 1/4"
- Subtles Backgrounds Designer Series Paper 3 1/4" X 1"
I love how the thin Black strips add that final detail to the cards without adding bulk. I used the Banner punch to punch just a bit off the ends like this:

Next is a quick card I made with the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper. It's also one of the free Sale-a-Bration choices; pick any with each $50 you spend.
I paired it with the Grateful Bunch stamp set from the Occasions catalog on page 22. My colors here are Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss & Whisper White.
Did you notice the unique lower edge? I cut off 1 1/4" from the bottom of the front card layer and added a thin strip of Blackberry Bliss card stock on the inside. This allowed me to add a greeting on both the front and the inside; showing both at once. This layout also makes your Designer Paper the star of the card. I have so many pretty papers that are perfect for this!
Now you're off to Connie's blog to see her projects; don't miss them!!
Would love the template for tote!

love this layout...wondering the strip looks more like 1/2" than 1" is it an optical illusion
