I can finally share this cute card with you! I like to wait until my card clubs are done so they are surprised at class. We made this card at my January Clubs:
On the right is the card front and the left is the inside where you can see those cute floating pop-up balloons. We had a lot of fun making this together. Everyone thought it would be so hard but once you have all of the pieces ready assembly is fun and fairly easy.
I hope you can watch my video below to see how it's done. I like the fact that you can use the Party Pop-Up dies in ways other than the pop-up inside a card. Here is a nice view of how I put together the pop-up balloons.
As you can see the main card is made up of two pieces of Melon Mambo CS measuring 4 1/4" X 5 1/2". Each piece is scored 1/4" on the short edge to create the lip we added the balloons to.
We stamped and punched 6 balloons using the Balloon Celebration bundle. Three balloons for the front and of course three for the back side. Then we attached each pair of balloons to a thin strip of window sheet (about 1/4" X 2") with mini glue dots. Once the balloons are attached just adhere the two pieces together to form the full card. This card is a 1/4" shorter than a normal card but it's not noticeable.
After the card is put together we added thin strips of DSP to cover the seams up. Watch the video to see lots more tips on these new products at the bottom of this post.
