Welcome! You're in for a real treat this month as the Control Freaks share their newest projects from the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs. It's always fun to get and play with new products and these two catalogs are jam packed with fantastic items.
You may have just arrived or maybe you came from Heidi's blog; if so just click on the icon at the bottom of each blog post to see them all. There's just 10 stops this month so it won't take you long.
~~~~~~~~
For my first project I chose to use the Sale-A-Bration stamp set called 'Hello'. It has this nice big greeting and quite a few coordinating greetings and cute add-ons like the hat you see here. You might be new to Stampin' UP'! and wonder what Sale-A-Bration (or SAB) is.... it's an annual special where for every $50 you spend you get one free choice from the SAB catalog! It's awesome!
Do you spy the new products here? The stamps are all from the Hello stamp set. But do you see those little candles? They are punched using our newest trio of punches called Party Punch Pack. It includes a balloon, cupcake and the candle punches. That fun designer paper (2" X 4") on the side is from the It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack; a big pack of 48 sheets of the best birthday papers ever!
I used the Curvy Corner Trio punch (carried over from the Holiday catalog) on all 4 corners of my 3" X 4" Mint Macaron panel to create a frame I could wrap the new Baker's Twine around. This twine comes in a two pack and is two-toned with Black/Melon Mambo & Black/Mint Macaron.
~~~~~~
Next is a masculine birthday card and matching treat box I made using the Baker's Box Thinlits dies.
I chose to feature a few more Sale-A-Bration items here; the Botanicals For You stamp set (Just For You) and the gorgeous Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper. It's the Smoky Slate watercolor paper I embossed the greeting onto. The other side has beautiful marbling on it. This pack includes paper with a variety of colors; it's soft, tone on tone and just amazing! I've ordered three packs so far! Oh; be sure to get it before February 15th as it's a limited time SAB product.
You might catch that strip of White Corrugated paper on the side of the card; a perfect masculine touch if I do say so myself. I also added some black stars from our Neutrals sequins. I wondered how or where I would use the black sequins and now I know; a manly project!
Do you see the stamped background on this Baker's box? I used a new set from the Occasions catalog called Timeless Textures; it's a 9 piece set that is full or assorted textures. It reminds me of our Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and caught my eye right away.
~~~~~~
And now you're off to see what Melissa has to share with you. I know you'll love it and the rest of the Freak's projects too.
I'll finish off by wishing each of you a very Merry Christmas and many blessings in the new year. Thank you for stopping in!
Love them !! Fantastic ideas!
Great projects! I like you used a bit of the corrugated paper on the card. I have so much of that I need to use up! Thanks for the inspiration!
