Welcome to the Christmas themed blog hop with the Control Freaks! This month you'll see tons of great ideas from some of the best and most creative stampers out there.
You may have arrived from Mindy's blog where you saw her beautiful projects. If not keep clicking on each icon at the bottom and eventually you'll see them all.
First up is a project we made at a recent Team meeting using the Square Pillow Box die.
I chose to a bit of the Winter Wonderland specialty designer series paper for the belly band and the coordinating Winter Wonderland specialty vellum paper for the cards.
I used our Gold Foil paper for the largest tag (which was die-cut with one of the Square Pillow Box dies). The greeting on the front and for each of the 3 X 3" cards is from the 'A Little Something' stamp set. The stamp set and dies all come together in a bundle for 15% off.
Here are the 3 X 3" cards that fit perfectly inside the box.
Did you know we carry 3" square envelopes in our current catalog? They are perfect for these cards and fit wonderfully in the Square Pillow box.
I used the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack on each card. I adhered the vellum with Tombo liquid multipurpose adhesive in the center and added just a touch with my sticky finger to the edges and it doesn't show! The images are stamped with our Black Archival ink onto Whisper White card stock and then punched with the 1 1/2" circle and Extra Large oval punches. The 1 3/4" Scalloped punch is used for the Black layers.

Next is a card I made for a recent workshop for my friend Melissa.
I used one of my favorite Christmas stamp sets in the Holiday catalog called Wonderland. I cut a window using the Lots of Labels framelit in my Blackberry Bliss folded card. It's the second from the largest framelit. Then I stamped on the inside Vanilla layer using Mossy Meadow ink twice and heat embossed the pretty pine branch using Gold embossing powder. I added a little of our Gold Glitz Dazzling Details to the trees and the edges of the Snowflake element.
Punch Tip: The pretty greeting tag ends are made by using the edges of the Label Bracket punch like this:
Insert your stamped card stock in the back of your punch. My strip is about 7/8" tall. After you've punched both of the Vanilla ends adhere it to the Mossy Meadow layer which is 1" tall. Now you can punch off just as much as you like from the layered ends. Super simple!

And now you're off to see what Mary Brown has to share with you. Check out her Square Pillow Box project!
What classy cards! I never would have thought that one could get away with using black - but YOU DID! The gold makes that burgundy POP! Delicious! Thanks for sharing!
