It's such a treat to receive my Paper Pumpkin box in the mail each month! I never know what it's going to be; which is half of the fun. The other fantastic part for me is I don't have to plan or prep to create! It's all done for me; which is a treat for sure. Look what I made this month:
The intended project is on the upper right. It's an accordion 'Thank You' card that fits in the cute box below it. The letters are an adorable and trendy sticky felt.
If you aren't a Paper Pumpkin subscriber yet; you should be! The kits are fantastic and it's so nice to receive something pre-planned that I can make without thinking! My daughter also gets these kits and I really looks forward to making them even though she is a busy, working mother. These also make a terrific gift for any crafty person or a fun project to do with your kids.
Right now, just through March, you can get a 3 month subscription for $5.00 off at $54.85 (just add tax as shipping is included). And you get a free Sale-a-Bration item too! What a deal! Go here to sign up and give it a try. I know you won't be disappointed. You can choose to try just one month, 3 month's, 6 or 12 months. mypaperpumpkin And one more perk! Once you're a subscriber you can purchase extra kits from previous months for usually just $7.95. LOVE that!
The kit came with 8 pre-cut boxes and banners and of course the cute stamp set, 2 ink spots and baker's twine. The value of these kits is fantastic; this stamp set alone would be at least $12.95. And did you know there is an entire Pinterest board for just My Paper Pumpkin? Go here to check it out.
I decided to make a few alternate projects with my stamps and felt.
This card is sized to fit a business size envelope and measures 8" long. I had fun stamping onto a piece of Whisper White card stock so each letter had a different stamped image behind it. I used post-it's to mask while stamping. And I made my own pom-pom by wrapping the baker's twine in the kit around a tweezers to make a tiny one. But I wasn't done yet.....!
I cut up one of the accordion pieces into 8 tags 2" wide. I used my set of Tag Topper punches on the upper edges. Then on to the stamping! These fun stamps made it so easy to do ombre, polka dots and more. I completed one card with a tag using pieces found in my scraps. I do like the main saying in this set 'I just wanted to say' - you could add anything after that.
Watch for my upcoming Paper Pumpkin event in March where you can play too!
