Are you ready for another fabulous Blog Hop? This month's theme - Dude! and/or gender neutral projects. I don't know about you but making cards or manly projects can be a challenge when most of your stamps and accessories are flowers! I bet we'll inspire you to make something for the men in your life.
Whether you just arrived on my blog or if you've come from Cindy's blog, I bet you were as amazed at her gorgeous cards as I was!

First up is a card I made when planning for my May card clubs. It isn't my finaly version but only due to time allowance and not because I don't love it.
I used the 'Look Up to Father' stamp set here with the thumping technique. Not sure what I'm referring to? It's when you ink a stamp in one color; usually the lightest color, then add other colors by thumping your marker onto the inked stamp. It's a great way to add multiple colors. Here I used Pear Pizzazz on the tree and leaves first, then thumped on Garden Green and Always Artichoke markers. Add the Chocolate Chip on the trunk. Huff and stamp. Pretty easy!
The colors here are Midnight Muse, Garden Green with Vanilla. I used the On Film Framelit dies to make the framed rectangle. And from the center square it cut out, I used two of the Square Framelits to make that narrow square frame I place on the diagonal around the tree. The frames are on thin pieces of dimensionals.
I added a Chevron punched strip to create a stand for the easel card. In this second Birthday version I placed a few Midnight Muse Chevron pieces into the punched areas. Neat look!
You might be asking how I made the tag shape here. I used the side of the Mosaic punch like this:

And next is a card we did make at this month's card clubs. It's punch art; an idea I found on Pinterest and recreated my way.
Isn't he adorable? I knew my gals would like him. We did decide he could easily turn into a birthday owl just by replacing the mortar board with a birthday hat, and the diploma with a gift. It's also a gift card holder inside:
See the tassel? We made this with a 1" X 1 1/4" piece of Black card stock and the Fringe scissors. Just roll it up, add glue and secure to the center of the hat. Cover the end up with your glimmer brad.
