Welcome to the Control Freaks Fall Blog Hop! Our theme this month is gratitude.
You may have just arrived or maybe you hopped in from Cindy's blog. If so keep clicking on the icon at the end of each post to see everything. You won't be disappointed!
Here's my first project:
We made this at my October Card Clubs. It was a big hit; but the most popular thing was the birch paper. You're probably wondering just where I got it.... It's part of the Thankful Tablescape kit in the Holiday catalog. It's just gorgeous and full of texture. **We sponged on the fall colors of these classic inks - Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze & Early Espresso.
The Magnificent Maple single stamp is inked with these same colors - first in Crushed Curry then sponging the other two colors on the edges before stamping.
Here's the inside of the card:
We used the same technique on the bundle of wheat stamp; inking it in Crushed Curry first and then adding Cajun Craze & Early Espresso ink with sponge daubers before stamping. Most of these stamps are from the beautiful Truly Grateful stamp set in the Holiday Catalog. The 'Thanks is for Giving' stamp is from the Seaonal Sayings stamp set.

I decided to use the pre-cut & scored napkin pocket piece in that same Thankful Tablescape kit seen below for this next project.
Just a little creativity with the many elements in this kit and you can make all kinds of things! Here I just folded down the top flap and made a belly band with items included in the kit like the pretty leaves, printed paper and the black chalkboard name piece. You even get a chalk marker in this kit for personalizing!
Here you can see the flap open and my cards peeking out of the top. To the leaves, I did sponge a bit of Tangerine Tango ink and then finished them off with 2-way glue and Gold glitter.

Next is the scrapbook layout we made at my October Scrapbook Class.
I was lucky enough to be part of a fabulous scrapbook swap at Convention and received the left page in the swap. It was made by Georgia Giguere. I created the right page to coordinate with it.
There are tons of details so look closely! One thing I want to point out is the small window frame framelit that is cut into quarters for photo corners on the left page.
And a tip on using the beautiful Expressions Thinlits dies - be sure to add a layer (or two) of waxed paper between the metal die and your card stock. The card stock comes out so easily after it's run through the Big Shot!
Supplies:
Sahara Sand, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango & Chocolate Chip card stock, Sweather Weather dsp, Truly Grateful & Chalk Talk stamp sets, Window Frames framelits, Expressions Thinlits dies, Big Shot, Burlap ribbon, linen thread, Naturals ribbon, mini glue dots, circle punches
And now you're off to see what Justin has to share with you. I know you'll love it!
Deb, I am sorry but I am not offering a tutorial for these projects. I've given tips and hints to anything that may need them but if you have a specific question on them please let me know.

I really love the card and scrapbook page. Will you offer a tutorial for these? I had not planned on purchasing the tablescape set but now it is next on my list. Thank you, I enjoy all your creations.
