Check this out!
We made these cards at my Card Clubs in March. Sooo pretty! They may look complicated but they're really quite easy!
I designed this card using the All Dressed Up Pop 'n Cuts die and coordinating framelits. Love the Pool Party, White and Black combo.
Here are the steps for the skirt using our beautiful doilies (24 for $2.95 in the Spring Catalog).
First fold a doily like above; not quite in half.
Now fold one side over like this. You'll see three curves or swoops on this side now; two at an angle on the top and one complete on the bottom.
Next fold over about 1/2" of the top tip to the back side. This flat area will be the waist of your skirt.
Here it shows the back side after you've folded over the tip.
Next I'll show you how I made the bodice of the dress.
I adhered a full doily to a piece of White card stock using a very little bit of Tombo multipurpose glue. Then cut this doily piece into quarters. Each quarter will give you one bodice.
The main reason you do this layering step is so when you punch it out you have something substantial to punch. Most punches do not like thin paper.
Now you'll use your Full Heart punch on the above piece.
Cut off slivers from the side of this heart piece as shown above.
Adhere the bodice to the skirt.
This shows the back side of the complete dress.
Now you'll wrap a piece of ribbon around the waist and secure it in the back with glue dots.
I slipped in a longer piece of ribbon through the waist band securing it with glue dots and adding a pearl.
Of course you'll want to embellish with more pearls or even rhinestones. So pretty!!
*****WOW!*****
