Beautiful Blooming with Kindness

I fell in love with this stamp set Blooming with Kindness the minute I saw it. 

I inked the flower mum stamp in Versamark and heat embossed using Black embossing powder.  Then I colored it in with a blender pen and Turquoise and Pacific Point ink.

Bootiful Occasions Class to Go

Due to customer requests I am offering the stamp set Bootiful Occasions as this months' Class to Go. Don't get me wrong - I love this set!  But I was having trouble deciding on just which stamp set to use for September and this one got the most votes.

There are four different boots in this set so I had to make at least one card with each boot to start with. This is the 'western style' card.  Love the colors, the lasso and the coordinating stars on this one. 

This is a card I did for a swap a few months ago.  I still love it and think you will enjoy making it too.

Natalie's Fabric Basket

Look at this amazing project my downline Natalie made!

Isn't it cute?!  She used a sewing pattern called Atkinson’s Designs – Pockets to Go.  I think you can order these online; just google the name above. 

It is about 8" square in width and height with tons of little pockets on the inside. It's perfect for organizing your stamping supplies with room for cards or larger items in the center.

It has handles on two of the outer sides and zippers on the other two.  She finished the outside and top seams by hand stitching them closed.  I cannot imagine how long this takes her to make!  Way beyond my sewing skills.

Halloween Swaps

Today I'm sharing two Halloween cards made by my downline Candy & Lorisa.

First is Candy's swap card using Googly Ghouls.  The image is highlighted nicely by the triple layers of the framelits.  It just draws your eye right to that cute little mummy doesn't it? 

I love all the many details she added to her card here. 

And this is Lorisa's card.  She used the emboss resist technique here.  That dark colored Top Note die-cut is really Summer Starfruit card stock.  Yes it's yellow under there!  She inked the eyes in Versamark ink and embossed them in clear embossing powder.  Then she sponged on Black ink so just the eyes showed up.  What a great, spooky look she achieved.

Here she used that same Googly Ghouls stamp set and our newest ink called Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' pad.  It's a luminescent shimmery ink that really shows up well on dark card stock.  In person it really shines!  You can find it on page 23 in your Holiday catalog.

Tweet Leaves Baby Wipe

And today's swap card is made by Rhonda.  She used the single stamp called Tweet Leaves from the Holiday catalog.

I love her color choices!  Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie and Certainly Celery. 

It's made using the baby wipe technique.  Just fold a baby wipe a few times so it's thick.  Drop quite a few drops of ink refills onto the baby wipe - dropping quite a few drops of the same color in one area.  Do this all over the baby wipe.  To ink up your stamp, tap the stamp onto the baby wipe in the same place a few times to get a thorough inking. 

We cut out the leaves before doing this so once the rubber stamp had ink on it we just pressed the die-cut leaf onto the inked stamp.  So pretty!

Wonderfall Swap

I had a downline swap last weekend and I am excited to share our fall cards with you.  I'll post one or two each day.

First up is Karen's card:

She used the Wonderfall stamp set and the coordinating Autumn Accents Bigz die here. 

We did die-cut the leaves and acorn first.  Then we inked up the matching leaves and acorn in Cajun Craze and More Mustard ink, stamping off once, and pressed the die-cut leaves onto the inked stamps.  Perfect placement each time! 

I love her layout and that triple bow.  Too neat!  Just loop some twine or ribbon around your fingers three times.  Trim the ends leaving one end longer.  Take the long end and bring it through your fingers in the center of the loops to tie a knot with the short end.
