These would be perfect to decorate each plate or place setting at your family Turkey dinner!
Isn't he/she cute? It's a simple punched turkey with pleated & feathered plumage.
Here's how you can make one:
Punch an owl from Chocolate card stock using our Owl Builder punch. Punch out large eyes from both Mustard and Chocolate card stock and small eyes from White card stock. Add the half closed Chocolate lids over the eyes. The beak is hand cut from yellow card stock and the 'wobble' is part of a Boho Blossoms punched flower in Real Red card stock. Also add a belly punched from Crumb Cake card stock (shown below).
Add pupils with a marker and add one punched Scallop oval behind his body.
Add another scalloped oval punched piece (1/3 of it trimmed off) from Chocolate Chip card stock. Adhere it so it sticks up behind his head. **See first photo above.
Now you need to cut some lengths of patterned paper in 2", 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" wide strips measuring 12" long. First use a scallop edge border punch on each long edge and then score them with your Simply Scored every 1/2". Accordion fold each one.
Glue them together overlapping each color.
I punched out a 2 2/3" scallop circle and folded it with 5 scallops on one side. Next glue this to the accordion paper with either Tombo multi-purpose glue or hot glue. If you use Tombo, use a clip to hold it in place until it dries.
You will need two of these 2 2/3" scallop circles to make the stand. One to adhere to the turkey (see last step above) and one for the flat part of the stand.
Adhere the flat scallop circle under the turkey so the scallops meet up perfectly. Wahla! Your own punched turkey stand!
Thanks for stopping by for today's punch art post. You can see more of my previous punch art here. I would like to promise you I will be posting weekly punch art like I used to do, but life and lack of time has taken that option from me. However, since I know punch art is a favorite of many, I will do my best to bring you some goodies now & then.
Clever!

I love this!! Now I wish I had those colors of dsp! I've got some old hostess 6x6 ones, so may have to glue a couple 6" strips together.
