Here's one of the cards we made at my Card Clubs this month.
Looks easy doesn't it?? Well it is easy, but there are a ton of steps here!
We stamped the same stamp from the Pennant Parade set in three different new In Colors; Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party and Calypso Coral. The Pennant Builder punch has two different sized punches so punched the smooth, smaller pennant for the top and the scalloped one for the bottom. These two pieces are adhered together with dimensionals between them.
Then we poked a hole in the top of each scalloped pennant for the string to run through. Our white Baker's Twine is perfect here. After that you need to poke a hole in the textured White card stock for the silver brads. I found it is better to insert the brads through first and then wind the twine around the brad heads before opening the prongs in the back. This holds it pretty tightly.
The greeting 'flag' was done by stamping a word from 'Short & Sweet' on a narrow strip of White card stock and then using the corner of a square punch to punch out the ends. You get a perfect notch almost every time!
The flowers are done with two of our flower punches - the Boho Blossom and the Itty Bitty Shapes punches. Adhere them together and add a few pearls.
The card base is Pool Party and we also used the new Lace Ribbon border punch to add something special to the inside of the card too.
Hi LeeAnn. Could you elaborate a little bit on using the square punch to get a perfect flag end? I went and tried it and had trouble getting it to punch evenly...do you have a trick, or do I have to have my eyeballs aligned?
