It was a sad day for our family today. My Mom passed away suddenly and unexpectedly this morning.
She was 89 years old and lately she said she was feeling tired and ready to be done on this earth. It is actually a huge blessing because she lived in her own home until now and we did not have to make any of those tough decisions regarding her failing health. I am happy for her but quite sad for us as she was the cornerstone of our family and we'll miss her terribly.
She lived a few hours from me so we saw her fairly often and I just spent a long weekend with her over Mother's Day - how great is that!!?
Here's a SB page I made many years ago using my very favorite pictures of her in her beautiful garden. I love that happy picture and will cherish it even more now.

God Bless You LeeAnn and may He hold you and your family close to his heart in the coming days, weeks and months. What a blessing your Mom was able to live out her days in her own home.My Mom passed away at 77 just two years ago and my Dad this Valentines Day after a four year ordeal with Alzheimer's. I treasure and miss them both. I don't think you ever get over it, but you do get through it.

I am very sorry for your loss. But at least you were all spared the heartache of a lot of touch decisions as you said. That is a comfort. That way all your memories are good ones.

Sorry to hear about your loss, but God always knows what's best. Cherish your memories and since she was blessed to live 89 years I'm sure you guys have many. My Mom died at age 36. I only had 6 years. I can hardly remember a lot of that time. My thoughts and and prayers are with your family.
