It was a sad day for our family today. My Mom passed away suddenly and unexpectedly this morning.
She was 89 years old and lately she said she was feeling tired and ready to be done on this earth. It is actually a huge blessing because she lived in her own home until now and we did not have to make any of those tough decisions regarding her failing health. I am happy for her but quite sad for us as she was the cornerstone of our family and we'll miss her terribly.
She lived a few hours from me so we saw her fairly often and I just spent a long weekend with her over Mother's Day - how great is that!!?
Here's a SB page I made many years ago using my very favorite pictures of her in her beautiful garden. I love that happy picture and will cherish it even more now.

LeeAnn, My sincerest condolences to you and your family. May happy memories sustain you and may the thoughts and prayers of your many friends comfort you.

LeeAnn, I'm very sorry you lost your Mom today but it sounds as if she was ready. That scrapbook page is now a real treasure. She is smiling and sitting in the sun in her garden.
Hugs to you and your family.

Hi LeeAnn, What a beautiful page you made of your Mom! These are the captured moments you will treasure forever and can share with others. I don't know you personally, but my heart goes out to you and your family. The loss of a parent is difficult (I know first hand), but magnifying our blessings helps tremendously. Sending hugs and prayers -- Michelle in Alberta, Canada.

Thank you for sharing your pix of your mom...she looks so much like my favorite aunt in your scrapbook page of her. May the wonderful memories you have of her ease some of the pain of losing her so suddenly. My own mom died many years ago and the wonderful memories of her smile and grace give me the joy she wanted. Your mom's smile is so beautiful.
Sincerely,
NancyK in WI
