Welcome to the January Control Freaks blog hop. This month's theme is 'From the Heart'. You'll see fabulous projects by our very talented & creative members.
You may have arrived from seeing Jan Tink's great projects. To continue on the tour after my projects, click on the link at the bottom of this page.
First up I have a very special Valentine's gift I made for my husband, Andy.
It's a Valentine's dresser full of Love!
See the love? I filled the six drawers (made with the matchbox die) with both treats & love notes/coupons. Little things I can do for him to make him feel extra special & pampered.
Stop back on Friday for the directions & supplies on how to make this adorable Valentine's dresser.

Next up is a truly beautiful card. I can honestly say that because my Card Club members said it was! This is one of the cards they made this month:
The color combo is Rich Razzleberry, Pretty in Pink with Black & White. See? Gorgeous, right?!
We spritzed the black card stock layer with a mixture of rubbing alcohol & Champagne shimmer paint (2 oz of alchol with 1/2 tsp of Shimmer paint in a travel spray bottle). Then we ran it through the Big Shot using the Elegant Lines embossing folder. The alcohol in the spray makes the texture even deeper!
We added three different sizes of rhinestone or pearl jewels where this pretty folder leaves the 5 embossed circles in a row.
See the shimmer? It's sooo amazing on Black card stock in real life!
Can you see the clear heart Bitty Button? It matches this image perfectly. The Razzleberry layer was embossed using the new & amazing Framed Tulips embossing folder.
- Stamps - With All My Heart, Punch Potpourri Level 1 hostess set
- Ink - Rich Razzleberry
- Card stock - Rich Razzleberry, Black, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink
- Accessories - Modern Label, Full Heart & large oval punches, Itty Bitty Buttons, mini glue dots, Pearls jewels, Champagne shimmer paint with alcohol, sponge dauber, Scallop Heart of Hearts embosslit, Big Shot, Elegant Lines & Framed Tulips embossing folders, Rich Razzleberry 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Bitty Buttons
And now you're off to see Wendy Janson's beautiful projects.

Just when I thought I don't need the die to make the boxes--I'll never use them--you come up with a stinkin' cute dresser. Hmmm! I guess I need that die after all. I love seeing this tour. Thks for sharing.
