My friend Karen gave me the cutest little penguin on Saturday. I just love it!
She will be this week's punch art guest.
Isnt' he cute? But wait - there's more. See what he really is?
He holds a miniature candy bar that slides up when you pull up on his red hat!
If you want to make any of these here's how:
Cut a piece of Black card stock at 3" X 4 1/4". Score along the long side at 1", 1 3/8", 2 5/8" & 3". Add adhesive along one long end & adhere together. This is the cover or box for the candy bar.
Add a 1 1/4" Red circle at the top of the candy bar & then add a punched snowflake with a brad. The snowflake she used is not SU, but our Northern Frost decorative strip has many snowflakes that would work for this. Slide the candy bar inside the little box.
To complete the penguin, add a short strip of white punched trim at the top. She used the Pinking hearts border punching once, trimming it down & turning it over to punch again on the opposite edge. What a great look!
Add two small (1 3/8" X 5/8") black ovals for his wings & a large (1 3/4" X 7/8") white oval for his belly. His face is made of two hearts from the Heart to Heart punch - a large white one for his face & a small orange one for his beak. Two black brads for his eyes finish it off.
By the way, since there are so many different sizes of miniature candy bars available now, I measured this one. It is 3 1/2" long.
Thanks so much for sharing this with me Karen!

I plan to take most of the next week off from my stamping job to enjoy the holidays with my family & rejuvenate for the next year & Sale-a-Bration. My blog will still be active though as I have some posts prepped for you in advance. Some of them will be gifts I've received from many of my talented stamping friends. You won't want to miss them!
This is really cute. I'm going to a family Christmas dinner and you've just given me a great idea for each of the kids. Thank you!!!!! Merry Christmas
