I know I say this all of the time, but I really, really LOVE this project!
It's the 3rd project in my 4 Pack of Presents going on right now.
What is the 4 Pack of Presents? Each month since September I've released a new project that would make an awesome gift - not just for Christmas either! Check them all out here. There is still another one coming out in December.
The Punchy Calendar Box has lots of great features; here are a few of them:
- It's a hand-made sturdy box with a slide-out drawer that holds 6 double-sided coasters.
- Each coaster has a fun punch or punch art item to match that month or season.
- There is an easel on top of the box to hold each calendar for viewing.
The sturdy box is made from light weight white card board found in our patterned paper packs. Then it's covered with a few pieces of Designer paper.
Also consider how easy it would be to add photos to the calendars of your children or family instead of punch art. You could even replace the stamped image on the top of the box with a family photo you love.
If you do not have any of the 4" coasters, you could easily substitute the light weight white card board. (I purchased them online a long time ago, but many restaurants will give a few away if you ask.)
What do you need to make this project?
- Light weight white cardboard plus 6 coasters
- 1/2 sheet of 12" patterned paper
- paper cutter with scoring tool
- 1 stamp for the top of the box easily substituted with an embellishment
- assorted punches & card stock
- just a few brads or buttons & ribbons
- a few colors of ink
- adhesive
What do you receive when you order this project?
- The full tutorial pdf including step by step directions & photos e-mailed to you.

Thank for this great project. Everyone I have showed this to is in love with it. I am going to make this as a thank you with my club members and downline! My daughter wants to make them for her teachers. Thanks again. LuAnn Reed

Cute idea! I have a question about your Holly & Jolly card set...what is the best way to afix these rub-ons? These seem more stubburn than previous rub-on sets...I finally ended up running them thru Big Shot & then hand burnishing...Big Shot leaves an indentation where I cut out...not so happy with the result...any magic ideas would be appreciated! esther
