It's Wednesday & therefore another Punch Art day. There may be times in the near future where I miss a week, but don't fret - I won't stop the Punch Art Wednesday's yet!
He's a spooky fellow - maybe a bit angry looking....?
I got the idea for him from Barbara Ballardo on the Stampin' Connection - an awesome website just for us demonstrators.
I started out with a brayered background but you could easily sponge if you use a light hand & rubbing or washing with your sponge instead of dabbing.
- Brayer Pumpkin Pie classic ink onto Whisper White card stock (4" X 5 1/4") from the top right corner down into the cs.
- Place a 2 1/2" circle mask (sticky note punched) over the area brayered with Pumpkin ink.
- Brayer Concord Crush ink over the mask from the top edge of the WW card stock down.
- Brayer (or sponge) Garden Green from the bottom edge of the WW card stock.
- Sponge on a bit of Baja Breeze ink between the Concord Crush & Garden Green inked areas to blend.
- The base of the card has a hand-cut curved hill from Black card stock.
Here are the parts of the cat:
- Head - Ornament punch
- Eyes - 1/4" circle punch, with the white gel pen added for pupils
- Ears - Star punch
- Nose - he does have a small, almost oval piece added for his Black nose between the whiskers - it was a piece I found on the table after all this punching!
- Black mask over eyes - Star punch (Punch once & then again from the area inside the points)
- Neck - Wide oval punch - punched twice
- Back - Wide Oval punch, punched twice
- Legs - first punch the large oval punch, then the wide oval punch around that.
- Tail - hand cut - the hardest part of him!
- Whiskers - hand cut tiny strips & then loosely ran them through the crimper.
Thanks for stopping in for my Punch Art Wednesday!
Awesome! Great card!
