Don't you think baby cards are fun to make? For today's Punch Art, I was inspired by Marie's punch art at Stamping Inspiration.
The photo is a bit dark here, but you get the idea. I used Basic Gray card stock with a bit of Pretty in Pink for the inside ears. That pretty patterned paper is from the Nursery Suite dsp pack.
The curve on the dsp & Baja Breeze card stock was done by tracing a large cup I had in the kitchen onto the patterned paper. The Baja was trimmed 1/8" larger.
Here are the punches I used:
- Body - wide oval
- Head - wide oval trimmed down a bit narrower
- Trunk - first punch a wide oval, then insert the large oval into that & punch out the inside curve of the trunk. Round the ends.
- Ears - butterfly punch cut in half. 3/4" circle punch for the inside ears.
- Tail - wide oval punched once & then punched again slightly over the first one. The end of the tail is the Boho Blossom punch trimmed with three tips left.
Supplies:
- Card stock - Baja Breeze, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Basic Gray, Nursery Suite dsp
- Ink - Basic Gray, Regal Rose
- Stamps - Word Play, Occasional Quotes hostess Level 3
- Accessories - Pink satin ribbon, Lots of Tags sizzlet 4 pack, Punches - see above
love the card - It's amazing what you can do with punches. I must make a few of these for the new babies coming into my family. Thank you for sharing.
