I knew this floral set had to be mine when I saw it in the new Catalog!

I love the rainbow effect, don't you?

In fact I liked how this card turned out so much that I decided to use it for both a shoebox with my friend Susie & also for the Control Freaks Convention swap.  The Freaks are meeting today at Convention to swap during lunch.

I positioned the 4 strips of card stock next to each other in a row before I stamped the image in Black ink. Then I adhered the strips to the white layer & then to the Black card stock.

Measurements:

• Colored strips - 1 1/8" X 3"
• White layer - 3 1/8" X 4 1/4"
• Black layer - 3 5/16th & 4 15/16"
  

What are the flower petals painted with?  Our new Moonlight Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink.  Just paint it on with the brush included in the bottle.  It's quite easy & produces a beautiful pearl sheen.  See?

Convention Day 1

We're in Salt Lake City!  The energy of so many excited demonstrators & SU staff is incredible!  I've reconnected with some old friends & made some new ones too. 

Oh, but It's HOT here!  We've enjoyed a relaxing day for the most part - inside!  We picked up our bags & Convention goodies first.  Here's a photo of this year's bag.

It's so cute!  Pumpkin with Melon Mambo, Peach & Pink polka dots & circles.  

And I got one more 'special' bag..................

I made Founder's Circle again!!!!!!  Woo hoo!!!  I am so excited!  I had hoped to get it, but you can never count on earning this incredible trip. 

For those who do not know what Founder's Circle is, it's a trip with Shelli Gardener to southern Utah & over 100 of the top Demo's in Stampin Up!  It's an amazing thank you trip from Shelli for our hard work during the past year.  

A big Thank You!!! to my fabulous customers & friends who have made this happen for me!  You are the reason I love this job!

At Awards Night tomorrow night we find out where we are in the top 100 demo's & other top awards.  It's always a fabulous evening full of entertainment & excitement.

Then we went to Memento Mall to pick up some of the awesome logo & specialty items only available here.  I'll post photos of those soon.

These people are from the Corporate Team at Stampin' Up!  They really get into the spirit of things & know how to have fun!

The 60's music they played was fantastic & inspired many of us to sing along & even dance in the aisles.  This groovy group sat down beside us & started jammin.

Cheatin' Punch Art

Yes, I'm a cheater this week.  I'm off to Convention in Salt Lake City today & did not get (or make) time to create something unique with my punches.

I have a few posts ready for you while I am gone at Convention.  I am unsure if I'll be posting from there or not.  Still haven't decided whether I'm taking my laptop or not.

Isn't she sweet?  This is our new two-step owl punch!  You get all the pieces to make her in one punch - how incredibly easy!

More Double Daisies

I knew my hostess loved my punched double daisies at last week's punch art so I created this card for her workshop last week.  Sharon goes the extra mile when she hosts a workshop, so I like to 'step it up' a notch for her. 

 

They had a choice of buttons & ribbons.  Check out the patterned paper.  It's the new Specialty Sweet & Sour paper.  It's a gorgeous, double sided paper that features glossy patterns.  It's part of my Designer Paper share seen here. 

The daisies are made by using both the 1 3/4" scallop circle punch & the new 2 3/8" scallop circle punch.  Cut up into the petals to create your double daisies.

The 5/8" satin ribbon adds the finishing touch.  Check out my ribbon share's to get 3 yards of each color of this luscious ribbon.

Summer Mommy & Me class

The kids have been anxiously waiting for another class.  Here's a few of what we're doing this month for the Mommy & Me class. 

Personalized sun visors!  Kids just love to cut out things with the Big Shot, so what better than to hand them some fun foam & let them decorate their own visor!!  Assorted colors of visors to choose from. 

And also they're decorating a photo frame with all sorts of buttons & glitter glue.  Three types of frames & colors to choose from.

(The photo above is from my daughter's wedding almost 3 years ago.) 

Their very own treasure box!  Every kid loves to hoard things - whether it is rocks, jewelry, candy or photos they'll fill this one up with secret finds.

They'll personalize the inside with their name of course!

We'll be making 2 other projects also. 

Class is on Thursday, July 29th at 1 pm.  Fee is $12.00.  I have 4 spots left for that time.  And if I have enough I will open up an evening class at 6:30 too.  Just let me know you're interested in that one!

Punch Art Purse

This Friday & Saturday is our huge 5th Annual Stampin' & Scrappin' Rummage sale plus I am getting ready for Convention next week too.  (Why do I schedule things like this????)

Since time is short here's a quick punch art purse for you. 

It's not the most favorite layout I've ever done.  But you get the gist of what you can make SU's oval punches - all 4 of them!

I punched the wide oval punch on a fold of Designer Series paper, leaving part of the fold inside the punch.  This is the Nursery Suite Specialty paper - it's adorable!

I placed a small piece of folded card stock inside the purse layers to give it a bit of dimension.  The purse handle is the large oval & scalloped oval punches.  First punch the large oval & then punch the scalloped oval around the punched oval hole.

I offered a Class to Go last month with the Elements of Style stamp set & it was a huge hit.  Many said they really enjoyed making the cards in their kit.  So I decided to offer a Class to Go each month.  If you like the stamp set of the month & order the kit you'll receive the stamp set along with a 5 cards kit with your Class to Go.

This month it's the new set 'Perfect Punches'.  You all know how I love my punches so when they offer a great set to coordinate with our punches, I'm all over it!!  I think it's the 'perfect' set for the greetings on our cards.

More swaps!

And here are two more swap cards I made.  These were for my QC Swappers group.  I am so lucky to be a part of these awesome swapping groups! 

The colors here are Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Peach Parfait & Early Espresso.

That patterned paper is our new Greenhouse Gala.  This pack is full of fun & pretty papers.

The scallop circle image is from the Perfect Punches stamp set.  I inked the scallop stamp in Early Espresso. Then I punched out a 1 1/4" circle from the middle of it & then punched the frame out using my 1 3/4" Scallop circle punch.  I colored in the outer petals with Peach Parfait & Daffodil markers.

The Daffodil floral inside circle is from our new set called Printed Petals.  I punched that out using the 1 3/8" circle punch & stamped the 'hello' from the Hello Again stamp set.  Then I wrapped the narrow Marina Mist taffeta ribbon around it & adhered the Chocolate embossed scallop frame over it.
