I promised you a tutorial on this adorable idea for dispensing candy with a view master wheel.
Ready?
Create your main card front layer. Push the 3/4" circle punch as far in as you can on the right side & then back out 1/8" & punch. This allows the next layer to be punched in the same position. See Step 4.
Step 2
Stamp your heart image on a 2 3/4" square of Whisper White card stock. Punch the heart from the center. Layer onto Cameo Coral card stock, but do not adhere. While pieces are layered together, also punch a 3/4" circle out of the Cameo Coral piece on the right top corner.
Cut out a 3 7/8" circle from Cameo Coral card stock. Notch the edge using a 1/8" hand held punch or the crop-o-dile. Find the center of the wheel using a ruler & poke a hole in it. ****Do not stamp the images or punch out the small circle from the wheel yet.
Center the wheel on the back of this piece vertically & attach the wheel to the card front layers so the wheel peeks out from the right edge slightly. Add a small brad through the center of the wheel & also through the card front. Align the 3/4" circle punch with the first punched circle in the card front and then punch through the Cameo wheel.
Lay the front layered piece onto the Saffron main card & trace the small 3/4" circle through onto the So Saffron card. (This step is not pictured - sorry!) Now punch a 1 1/4" circle around that in the Saffron main card. The punch won't reach in all the way to make these even. It ends up slightly off center as you'll see in the next photos.
Use the 1 3/8" circle punch to add a small semi-circle to the right side edge for the wheel.
Punch a 1 1/4" circle in a piece of card stock to use as your mask when stamping the images onto the wheel.
Step 7
Be sure to spin the wheel each time you stamp so that the viewer sees the images correctly.
See how the 3/4" circle is slightly off center of the 1 1/4" circle? This is because the punch wouldn't reach farther in. It worked out well to stamp the small hearts here.
Now adhere the Heart treat cup & the white stamped layer to the card front. Then attach the card front to the main folded card aligning the 3/4" circles.
Now you can finish your card.
