Once again, I'm going bright, colorful & happy. With all the white scenery we've got around here, we need a bit of color! And this card sure has 'color'!
Cute huh? Maybe it's not 'really' punch art, but it is a fun way to use our circle punches. I saw a similar card done by Heather Bhatti & had to case it. You could add stars, flowers or any other punched shapes in the white circles to change it up.
I cut 1" strips of colored card stock & inserted the end of each into the 1" circle punch like this:
It's easier to do this if you have a piece of paper (white piece) inserted into the punch the normal way. Then slip your 1" strip (pink) in through the back side like shown above.
Then remove your extra white paper, slide it all the way in & punch.
This gives you rounded ends on your strips.
The card itself is about 4 1/4" X 5 1/4" in size.
- Stamps - Happy Together
- Ink - Real Red, Tempting Turquoise
- Card stock - Pixie Pink, Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Gable Green, Only Orange, Whisper White
- Accessories - Heart to Heart punch, 1" & 3/4" circle punches, Word Window punch, Red gingham ribbon, mini glue dots
Love it love it thanks for the tutorial!!!

Great idea! You can also use this technique with the tag punches.

I finally finished my CASE of your card. I hope to post it on my blog within the next week. I think my strips were wider (didn't fit in the 1" Circle Punch). I used the 1 1/4" Circle Punch on the ends . . . not as rounded as yours but I still love the look (thanks to you). Hugs, M

Amazingly cute . . . one of my SU customers sent this to me. I wondered if I could case something similar for my blog (http://stampinpretty.com)? Hugs, Mary

This is really cute! I'd call it punch art since you used punches to make it :)
