Welcome to the awesome Control Freak's blog hop - Tour de Freaks! The theme ..... 'Love'!
Oh the incredible projects you'll see on this amazing blog hop! Be sure you stop on each blog so you don't miss anything or use the links on the bottom of this post. If you've been following the tour, you've just come from Cindy Major's creative blog. Here is one of the projects we made at my Card Clubs this month - a view master card! My club gals love to learn fun folds & this stamp set - 'Things I Love' - is perfect for a view master card. If you're curious just how to make one like this, stop back on Friday for the complete tutorial.
Here's what they see in the Vanilla circle when they spin the dial...
Things I love..... New Shoes ~ Chocolate ~ Shopping ~ and last ~ 'But most of all YOU!'
Stamps - Things I Love (which is one of the Free sets you can get during SAB!)Card stock & Ink colors - Bermuda Bay, Chocolate & Melon Mambo with Vanilla CS
Accessories - lots of punches - 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" circles, scallop circle, Flower Trio, NEW Scallop Trim Border, corner rounder, hand-held 1/8" punch, Circle Scissors Plus, sponge dauber, Melon polka dot ribbon, silver brads, Texturz plates, Big Shot
And here's a soft & romantic card.
Check out the new Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit! I cut two - one from Pretty in Pink card stock & the other one from the new Sending Love designer series paper.
It looks like there are black layers behind the two hearts, but I actually cut out the heart shapes out of the Vanilla card front. To do this, I used the SU Movers & Shapers Curly Label die with the SU Punch Windows heart. I ran a 4 1/4" X 11" piece of Vanilla card stock through the Big Shot once with the heart in one position & then again after moving the heart in the other position. It's just that simple!
Then I used the new Pinking Hearts border punch on the card front bottom & then textured it with the Perfect Details texturz plate. I repeated the border punch on the black card stock placed behind the hearts.
'Love you' is a stamp included in the new set 'Well Scripted' in the Occasions mini catalog.
The Pretties pin, beads & pearls along with a Vanilla satin bow finish it off.
Enjoy the rest of the tour - you're off to see Patty Bennett's incredible projects next.

WOW! I haven't done a wheel card in ages. Looks like there's one in my near future.
Love your romantic card. So feminine.

The Things I Love set was the perfect choice for a dial card! It is just small enough to work perfectly! Nice choice of stamp set for this Tour de Freaks, too!
