Folosirea jocului didactic ca activitate de completare cu întreaga clasa,aduce variatie în procesul de instruire a copiilor, facându-l mai atractiv.
Fiecare joc didactic cuprinde urmatoarele laturi constitutive :
- continuturi
- sarcina didactica
- regulile jocului
- actiunea de joc
Prima latura-continuturi-este constituit din cunostintele anterioare ale copiilor însusite în cadrul activitatilor comune cu întrega clasa,cunostinte ce se refera la plante, animale,anotimpuri,reprezentari matematice,istorice,etc.
Cea de a doua componenta a jocului-sarcina didactica-poate sa apara sub forma unei probleme de gândire, de recunoastere, denumire, reconstituire,
comparatie,ghicire. Jocurile didactice pot avea acelasi continut, acestea dobândind un alt caracter, datorita sarcinilor didactice pe care le au de rezolvat,de fiecare data altele.
A treia latura-regulile jocului-decurge din însasi denumirea ei.
Regulile sunt menite sa arate copiilor cum sa se joace,cum sa rezolve problema respectiva.Totodata regulile îndeplinesc o functie reglatoare asupra relatiilor dintre copii.
Ultima latura-actiunea de joc-cuprinde momente de asteptare, surprize, ghicire,întrecere si fac ca rezolvarea sarcinii didactice sa fie placuta si atractiva pentru elevi.
Daca vin în completarea lectiei,jocurile didactice,pot fi grupate dupa obiectivele urmarite si tipul lectiei.
