I've been wanting to do a punch art dog for awhile now so when I saw how Mercedes did hers, I just had to case it. Here's a link to her sweet little puppy. Puppy Love
Isn't he cute in his own little dog house?
I cut a standard card to 4 1/4" X 11", scored it at 5 1/2" & cut off the open ends into a peak for the roof. The fold is at the bottom of this card.
Then I drew lines for the wood planks with a pencil, added some 'nails' & then did direct to paper with my White craft ink.
The peak has a layer of white & black CS.
I used Basic Gray for the hole in his dog house. The round top was done with the Circle Scissors plus & then I just cut down the sides straight.
Isn't the dog bone clever? Mercedes came up with that. Punch two hearts from our new Heart to Heart punch & place them on a punched word window piece. Trace this onto another piece of card stock & cut out.
To make the punch art dog, I used the following punches:
- 1 1/4" circle - face
- 1 3/8" circle - body
- wide oval punch - muzzle
- 1/2" circle - feet
- word window punch - ears & patch on eye & nose
- double circle punch - eyes
- tongue - horizontal slot punch
Dogs protect us! The elderly as it no longer felt alone! With young people, it increases the song and laughter! It is a good helper

So cute! I'm going to have to use your idea for my husband's father's day card from our canine babies. TFS the instructions!
