We made this unique card at my Card Clubs in October!
I received a card like it from the super creative Lori Heiling this summer. She is so talented! Watch her video on how to make this card here.
When you lift the flap on top, a center piece slides up to reveal the gift card! Genius!
Okay; you may be asking what stamp sets I used for the back-ground. I used the awesome Gorgeous Grunge (which is 25% off right now!!) and a coffee mug. Yes; a plain old mug that was inked in a Crumb Cake ink pad created these fun coffee rings! Too fun!
I did change her plan and template a bit so I could get 2 card bases from one 8 1/2 X 11" piece of card stock. Here's mine:
Tip - after scoring the large piece on the right as shown above you'll trim off the excess 1/2" strips on the long sides. The 1/2" flaps are folded in to form your pocket.
The other piece you'll need for the gift card slider is 3 3/4" square, scored at 1/4". This piece is inserted in the pocket first and then attached below the ribbon on the flap as shown below.
- Stamps – Perfect Blend, Gorgeous Grunge
- Card stock – Crumb Cake & Coastal Cabana, Naturals Ivory, In Color prints patterned paper
- Ink – Crumb Cake/Sahara Sand & Early Espresso
- Accessories – linen thread, glue dots, sponges, In Color ruffled ribbon, Stripes or Houndstooth embossing folder, Big Shot, Dimensionals, Simply Scored, Stampin’ Trimmer. Coffee stirring sticks are purchased from Hobby Lobby.
