I was just about giddy when I got a sneak peak of this month's Paper Pumpkin projects at Convention. Look!
These are all of the supplies in the surprise box I received:
One of the best things about these kits are that I don't have to think or plan a thing. For me that's quite a gift! After a fun hour of stamping this is what I made.....!
Don't you just love them?!
I added a few extra pieces of Hello Honey and Strawberry Slush card stock since they included 4 extra die-cut pieces. So I was able to make an additonal 4 cards easily. The cute envelopes this month are tied with brads and linen thread like old fashioned clasp envelopes. Adorable!
Here are a few close up's for you.
I love this one! It is sort of a latch card where the front of the card catches on the circle punches popped up at the top.
Tips on making this card - Your base card is the usual 5 1/2 X 8 1/2. Score at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4". Fold the front flap back on itself.
The front layer that is caught on the circle punches is approximately 3 7/8" X 5 1/8". Adhere that a bit more towards the bottom of the bottom of that front lower flap instead of centering it on the entire card so you have room to add the latch above it when flat. Then fold the card flat and adhere the circles at the top. Use a bone folder to crease the folds well so it stands up easily.
The kit included these circles meant for the envelope clasps. I love the addition of the adorable Strawberry Slush sequence added with little glue dots (also included).
Here's another unique card I made:
Here I trimmed two of the die-cut heart pieces to add to the top of the card front for a wedding card.
Did you know that if you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber you can get additional kits like this one for around $7.50! So when I love a kit like this one I order extras!
