Prom SB Layout

Here is the other layout we made at April's scrapbook club & class.

My son Isaac and his girlfriend are on the left and the other couples including two of his good friends are on the right.  The boys had a good time at their senior Prom.  Where have the years gone! He's my third and last child at home.....

Wasn't I lucky the girls dresses coordinated?  That sure made my decision on colors easy!

I sure love this layout!!.  It would work for any event.  I used many colors of our Designer Series Paper stacks in 4" wide strips, cutting pennant shapes at the bottom.  Heads up - these patterned paper stacks are on the discontinued list!

Besides the 12" White card stock for the base pages and Black for the photo mats I used the Top Note die, Typeset Alphabet Bigz dies and rhinestones.  That's it!  This is my kind of scrapbooking - fast and fabulous!   

Happy Times Layout

Here's what we are making today at Scrapbook Class.

My inspiration was a sketch I found online.  Do you love sketches too?  They are a great starting point for scrapbooking or card making.

I used the Summer Smooches designer series paper pack as my starting point for colors.  Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry and Island Indigo.

Supplies:

Vacation Scrapbook Layout

Here is one of the layouts we made at March's Scrapbook Class:

I love these eye catching colors!  Cherry Cobbler, Midnight Muse, More Mustard, Always Artichoke on Sahara Sand base pages. 

There's quite a bit of heat embossing here using Versamark and clear embossing powder - the Midnight Muse strips were wheeled with a Versamark ink cartridge (homemade) and the Alhambra jumbo wheel.  The swirl from Everything Eleanor is also clear embossed.

The title is done with the Broadsheet Alphabet.  They're stamped with MIdnight Muse ink, punched out with a 1 1/4" circle punch and layered with 1 3/8" Cherry Cobbler punched circles.

The journalling tag on the left is cut out with the Two Tags Bigz die, then inserted in the More Mustard pocket. The large ribbon-like rick-rack in Cherry was cut out with my favorite Bigz XL die - Tasteful Trim.

Curvy Scrappin' Layout

This is one of the layouts we made at Club this month:

I used an unusual color combination of Bashful Blue, Rich Razzleberry, Black and Tangerine Tango. 

My son Isaac is a drummer in Jazz, Drumline and regular Band.  These are some of his performing photos.  He likes orange so I had to bring some of that color in here. 

See the awesome curves on the large pieces of card stock?  I used our new Borders & Scoring plate to achieve these 'Top Note' like curves!  I scored it making sure I had the card stock centered on the curves and then cut on or after the scored edge.  If you want the raised or indented scored line to show, just cut near it instead of through it.  Easy!

 

Scrapping Christmas

Here are the layouts we made this month at my Scrapbook Class. 

I should have posted this before the class!  But working on the house and moving has thrown me off of my game for sure.   

This is a fun layout to make.  Using our family photos with the Ornament Keepsakes dies is too cool!  The tree is 6" wide at the base and 12" tall.  You can get three trees from one 12 X 12" Olive card stock.

Supplies:

• Card stock - real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White, Candlelight Christmas dsp (retired), Silver and Red Glimmer card stock 
• Other - Merry Minis punch pack, Ornament Keepsakes framelit dies, Big Shot, Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine, Typeset Alphabet Bigz dies

I got the ideas for these pages online, but I cannot remember from where...  Darn memory!

Supplies:

• Card stock - Real Red, White, Black and Wild Wasabi plus Snow Festival dsp (retired)
• Sizzix - Stocking Bigz die, Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die, retired Stocking Accents Original die (candy cane and holly leaves)
• Other - 1" circle punch and 1/8" hand held punch for black buttons

Scrapbook Class in November

Here are the scrapbook pages we're making next week Thursday:

As you may have noticed I love these colors for fall!  I've made quite a few projects using variations of them.  Adding the Island Indigo to traditional fall colors just makes me happy!  It's not surprising since shades of teal are my very favorite colors.

Supplies:

Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Island Indigo, Cajun Craze and Lucky Limeade card stock and ink, Broadsheet Alphabet set, Orchard Harvest Designer series paper, Autumn Accents Bigz die, Big Shot, woodgrain embossing folder, Perfect Pennant Bigz die, 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" circle punches, Island Indigo bakers twine, mini glue dots

It's a cute birthday layout featuring the Patio Party designer series paper.  All new In Colors here - Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Petals.This layout is also available locally as a kit to go; just let me know by the 15th. 

This class is Thursday, November 15th and you can arrive anytime between 1 - 5:30 pm to make your pages.  But please RSVP by Monday, November 12th so I can prep your pages for you.

The cost is $7 per double layout or each layout is free with a $25 order; both are free with a $40 order. 

October Scrapbook Class

This first layout is for my Scrapbook Club gals but if anyone else wants to come and make this layout they're welcome too.  There's room for 8 photos here!  The adorable stamped images are from the Googly Ghouls stamp set.  Of course we'll add googly eyes too!

This second layout is an option for those who cannot attend but want the 2-page layout.  The International Bazaar designer paper has great patterns and colors.  I'll prep most of it for you in a kit to go. 

Each of these layouts is just $7.00 or free with a $30 order. Class is on October 18th.  You can arrive anytime between 1 and 6:30 pm to make your pages. 

RSVP for one or both of these by October 11th if possible please. 

Scrapbook Class

Here's what we are making at my Scrapbook Class today:

Love these colors and layout!  Basic Gray, Riding Hood Red with Vanilla and Newsprint dsp.  'Remember' is the perfect title for so many things.  I used our new Oval Accent die for the frames on the left page.  The vertical trim is from our Tasteful Trim die - my favorite for trim. The horizontal trim on the large photo mat on the right side is the leftovers from cutting the vertical trim!  The letters were cut using the new Typeset Alphabet Bigz die.

This layout is totally cased from my friend Kay Kalthoff.  She is a genius at creating eye catching scrapbook layouts and tons of other beautiful projects!  Check out her blog here.

I used the Floral District dsp and the coordinating stamp set Betsy's Blossoms.  Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade and So Saffron.  

Can't wait - it starts in a few hours! 

Beautiful Prom SB Layout

This is the 12 X 12" scrapbook layout we did at this month's Scrappin' Clubs.  I used the beautiful specialty designer paper called Mocha Morning along with Black and Crumb cake card stock.

My son Isaac and his friends had a wonderful time.  He is a junior in high school this year.  Just one more year left for my youngest!

Here's a close-up of the flowers.  I used a combination of the Blossom Party and Fun flowers Sizzix dies along with the 5 petal and Boho blossoms punches. I used my bone folder to curl the edges of some of the petals before adhering them together.   

Here is the title made with the Serif Essentials Alphabet. I LOVE these big letters for my scrapbooking.  So quick & easy to make any title I want.  The rhinestones on these pages really sparkle and set off the elegant event.

Color Blocking Scrapbook Page

Here's the layout for this month's Scrapbook Club. 

The colors seem a bit dull in the photo but are so much prettier in real life. The background is Baja Breeze and I also used some of our prints patterned papers - Calypso Coral & Island Indigo (In Colors) and Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi - Brights & Soft Subtles too. I love these stacks of papers!

When you do a color blocked page like the left one I suggest you start in the center.  Find your tallest photo and line it up with a piece of patterned paper making sure both are the same width. Adhere these top to bottom in a row.  This is now the height of the entire block.  My photos and papers are all 3" wide.

Next add another photo along with one or two pieces of colored patterned paper above or below it on one side making sure the height of all is the same.  Then do the last side.

Scrapbook Layout with Everyday Enchantment

I saw a similar layout on our Demonstrator sharing site called Stampin' Connection and knew my gals would love this layout. 

It features the new and FREE Everyday Enchantment designer series paper.  Well you can get it free with a $50 order.  The colors in the patterned paper were my inspiration and are so pretty that the layout comes together wonderfully. 

It's Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Poppy Parade. 

Some of the fun extras I used are the Beautiful Butterflies die, Top Note, Tasteful Trim die and Beautiful Wings embosslit.

January Scrapbook Layout

My Scrapbook Clubs always do a Christmas layout in January which is perfect for our favorite holiday photos.  And I think this page is so cute!

It's a 12 X 12 layout using photos from my own Christmas at my daughter's new home.  She hosted her first Christmas this year!  We had a wonderful time together.  

The colors are Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green with White accents.  I used 4 of the Lattice die-cuts in Whisper White and added a few dots of our new Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details glue in the center areas.  The Frostwood Lodge designer series paper is a strip at the bottom of the left page.  

The 'MERRY' letters were stamped using the Lovely Letters alphabet with Versamark ink onto Garden Green card stock and embossed with White embossing powder.  I punched them out using the ornament punch and hung them using our Cherry Cobbler bakers twine.

 

Harvest Scrapbook Club layout

I hope you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your family and friends. We took the day to visit our families in Bismarck.  We had a great time.

This is what we made for my November Scrapbook Clubs. 

Isn't it fun?  The idea was cased from Alanna Wharf.  She used My Digital Studio to create the tall ovals for her pumpkins.  As you can see the small one is almost 6" tall. They are adorable made from our Spice Cake designer series paper.  

The leaves are die-cut from our Leaves die using Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake card stock.  After cutting them out, we ran them through an embossing folder and then sponged More Mustard and Pear Pizzazz ink over the embossed areas.  

The flower on the large pumpkin is made by punching three smaller (1 3/4") scallop circles and one large 2 2/3" scallop circles.  Crumple them up tightly and then open them.  Rub your sponges over the raised areas and adhere them on top of each other with a button on top.  

Spooky (& punchy) Halloween pages

We are making this layout tomorrow for this month's Scrapbook Clubs, just in time for our Halloween pics!

I got the basic idea for this page from my friend Kay Kaltoff.  She creates fabulous scrapbook pages! 

I am using the Frightful Sight patterned paper from the Idea Book & Catalog along with Black and Cajun Craze card stock.  Because there were such cute ghosts, spider webs and bats in the design it was easy to get punch art ideas for this layout.

The long black strip of card stock on the top right page was run through the Spider Web embossing folder twice - once on each end.  Then I used my Frost Shimmer paint and a sponge dauber to add the high-lights.

Two more dies were used on this page; can you spot them?  The Tasteful Trim for the Black rick-rack.  And the PeekaBoo Frames Bigz L die for the eyes.

The Ghosts were made with two punches - the Extra Large Oval punch and a 3/4" circle punch to punch out the curved bottom. These are placed over 2" black circles die-cut with the Circles die & the Big Shot.

This Bat is a perfect place to insert a photo of your own spooky Trick or Treater.  He is made with the Perfect Pennants die (the small pennant) and three punches - 3/4" circle (head), a 1" punch to make the curved wings and the Petite Pennants Builder punch for the ears.

I cut out two black circle frames (Peekaboo die) and finished cutting off the attached flip/flap off of the circle.  Then I scooted that flap over to reveal a 1 3/8" white circle punch behind the circle frame.  Moving it over to reveal the whites gives a great creepy look to the dies.  I then added a 1/2" Olive circle and a small black circle punched with my Crop-o-dile for the pupil.  A dash with the White gel pen finished it off.

I hope you got some great Halloween ideas from this Scrapbook layout. 

Scrapbook Club Fun

We've started my Scrapbook Clubs again last month.  It's good to be back at it. 

Thank goodness for my Scrapbookers or I would never get any pages done! And I still do not get photos on them sometimes!  I can be a great procrastinater.

It's an eye catching page without photos, but you should see it with the photos!  I wish I had taken pics of my gals finished pages.  They were gorgeous.

I had lots of 1" patterned paper strips left over from September's Club card.  They were my inspiration and starting point. I just started playing with them on my White 12 X 12" card stock.  

We rounded the corners of some of the strips and photo blocks and added assorted buttons and a die-cut title.  Super easy yet WOW.
