Sorry my posts have been sparse lately.  I'm still catching up on things since I returned from my trip earlier.  Plus we have all kinds of things going on at home - one is my son is graduating from High School next weekend so we're having an Open House to celebrate. Lots to do!  Here's one of his senior photos.

On to stamping news!  I'm very happy with this month's class to go using the By the Tide stamp set. 

To be honest I liked some of the images in this set right away but thought I could live without it.  Then I saw what others were doing and fell in love with each of these images!  It's amazingly versatile!

I think it's perfect for masculine, sympathy, pretty and girly or just a thinking of you card.  Here are a few of the cards I made with it:

Here is another of my favorite color combo's - Pool Party & Calypso Coral.  So glad they're being added to our color families in the next catalog!!

I think these images are perfect for a sympathy or 'thinking of you' card.  The colors here are Island Indigo and Crumb Cake.

This one was cased from my friend Kay Kalthoff.  Such an easy man's card! 

I have two more cards included in this class to go but I like to save them for a nice surprise when you get your kit and instructions.

Dolled Up Birthday Card kit!

Finally it's spring and I get to use these flowers!  This is one of my very favorite stamp sets in the Spring Catalog (pg 17).  And it has matching framelits!

Flowers embossed with White embossing powder onto our Vellum card stock.

Sponged ink over the Black Stazon stamped flowers - Rose Red and More Mustard.

I sponged Wisteria Wonder ink over clear heat-embossed flowers for the emboss resist technique.

Flower Fair Album Class

I made 30 scrapbook pages in just a few hours a few weeks ago! 

How?  Using the Flower Fair Simply Scrappin kit on page 31 of the Spring catalog!

I had requests so I'm offering a class on Saturday, April 20th so you can make these pages too. 

They're 8 X 8" in size.  You can get the kit separately or in a bundle that includes both the Simply Scrappin' kit and the 8 X 8" album. I purchased the Bundle so I also had the Designer Printed Ring Album to put my pages in.  I love this scrapbook!  It has a smooth, wipe off surface that I prefer.  

I had fun putting these pages together; they're so bright and colorful!  They'd be perfect for vacation photos, for a family event or especially a little girl.  Can you imagine how special she would feel to have her own album to add her photos to? 

Above you'll see a few of the pages I made.  I added 5 sheets of White card stock not included in the kit and 5 extra 8 X 8" page protectors to get the 30 back to back pages.  That's it.  Everything else is from the kit!  It includes card stock, patterned papers, card stock stickers, buttons and 2 colors of Taffeta ribbons. 

If you'd like to take this class you'll need to pre-order your own kit and have it here by April 15th for me to cut out and prep your pages for you. **Order by April 8th!!  If you cannot make it to class I will still cut it out for you for you to do at home.

Oh, Hello - February Class to Go

This is the stamp set and framelits bundle for this month's Class to Go; Oh, Hello on page 4 of the Spring catalog.

I love this set for many reasons; for it's versatility, the eye-catching font and that you can create feminine or masculine projects and of course that the new Oval framelit dies coordinate with it.

I really like this card - easy yet pretty too.  And did I say versatile?  The 'Hello' stamp works for many occasions. Certainly Celery & Wisteria Wonder are the colors here. 

A great window card showcasing the oval image and die.  The leaves are die-cut using the Little Leaves sizzlit.  This is a case of a similar card done by Debbie Currier. 

I knew I wanted to do a masculine card for this class and Night of Navy was the color I started with.  Cherry Cobbler and  Basic Gray made the final cut.  It's a fun layout made by mixing different sizes of patterned papers with a solid background.

Hearts a Flutter Class to Go

Each month for the next four I am featuring new stamp sets from the Spring Catalog for my monthly Classes to Go. 

This month it's the Hearts a Flutter Bundle - stamp set and matching framelits. 

I thoroughly enjoyed making the cards for this set.  The images and the coordinating Framelits are unique and I found them quite versatile!

I chose my colors for this card from the new Sycamore Street Sale a Bration designer paper - FREE with a $50 order after January 22nd.  And the coordinating 1/4" satin ribbon too.  Love these colors together!  SU is so good at color coordination - one of the biggest reasons I am so happy with SU products.

I made this into a baby card but it could easily be a wedding, anniversary or Valentine card.  This layout would also work for many other punches - consider using stars, circles or even butterflies!

And there is just something about banners and flags - they're very hot right now!  I love the way they are set at an angle with little ribbon knots holding them together.  The greeting set here is another new favorite of many - 'Feel Goods' on page 21 of the Spring Catalog.

Embellished Events class to go!

This month's Class to Go features the Embellished Events stamp set - a perfect 'all occasion' set.  It features both images and greetings.  If you're looking for a set that will cover most events this may be it! 

I decided to make each of these 5 cards are a fun fold card; and I'm showing you each of them instead of surprising you with two later. 

I punched through the top fold so the birthday cake could peek out on this one. 

This cute flowerpot card is a take on a 'joy fold' card. 

This window card is easy yet unique - make your folded card narrower than the traditional 4 1/4" wide X 11" long and adhere the back to a full 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" piece of card stock - Baja Breeze in this case.  Then punch or die-cut a window through the front.

This simple little Christmas card is one you could mass produce quite easily.  That silver Glimmer card stock really sets if off!

Here is a gate-fold baby card. Blue, yellow and white with polka dots and scallops - perfect for a baby!

Scentsational Seasons Class to Go

3rd Christmas Stamp a Stack

The 3rd Stamp a Stack in my series of four is coming up fast!

There are 4 different cards at each class.  You can attend class locally or get the written tutorial (see below).

This first card was really fun to make!  I thought the Styin' Snowfolk set would be hard to use becasue there are all kinds of stamp images to embellish the snowfolk with.  But using the clear mount stamps made this a breeze - honest! 

And this one features the Make a Mitten stamp set and coordinating Mitten builder punch.  Simple but cute!

 

I love this one - so eye-catching but quite simple to make with the Apothecary Accents framelit and the little Merry Mini's stamp set and punch for the little ornaments.  Merry & Type is the greeting stamp set and Be of Good Cheer is the designer paper I used here.

And this last one uses the Ornament Keepsake stamp set with the beautiful Holiday Frame embossing folder. 

We'll make 3 of each card along with stamped envelopes at this class.  So you'll make 12 cards with stamped envelopes.  The cost is $20 pre-paid by October 28th.  I have two sessions available.  One on Tuesday, Oct 30th at 6 pm and the other on Saturday, Nov 3rd at 10 am.  The Tuesday class is full and the Saturday class has 2 spots open. Just bring your own adhesive. Contact me ASAP if you'd like to come.

There are four different boots in this set so I had to make at least one card with each boot to start with. This is the 'western style' card.  Love the colors, the lasso and the coordinating stars on this one. 

This is a card I did for a swap a few months ago.  I still love it and think you will enjoy making it too.

Everything Eleanor Class to Go

I love this month's Class to Go stamp set - Everything Eleanor!  First because it has  a swirl image (a favorite!) and pretty flowers, second because of the wide variety of images and lastly because Eleanor was my Mom's name.

Pretty color combination of Cherry Cobbler with Soft Suede and Vanilla.

I love this striking card.  Black and white with a pop of color - Rose Red.

Aren't they pretty?  These are just three of the 5 cards included in the kit.  I think I could make a dozen cards with this set easily. And wait until you see the elegant Club card we made this month with this set!  It will be posted in a few days.
