Guess what we made last Saturday?!
The same Make & Takes they made at Leadership this year! I couldn't attend this year, but my fabulous up, up, upline Jerilyn made it possible for my 1st level downline & I to be able to make them. She sent a Meeting in a Box for those that could attend.
Look what we made!!!
We made this brooch from the Springtime Vintage Designer Fabric & the Fun Flowers Bigz die. Can you see all the extra additions on it? There are ....
- Beveled Windowpane
- Trinket Key
- Crochet Trim
- Paper Daisy
- Baja Breeze seam binding
Many of these extras can be found in your Occasions Mini catalog. She pre-cut the fabric flowers for us. We sprayed on some Fabric Spray starch to a few of the flowers, let them dry & crumpled them lightly. This gives some lift or dimension to the flower.
We added Champagne shimmer paint to the paper daisy with a sponge dauber - love this technique!!!
We stamped the butterfly from the Clearly for You stamp set in Black ink on Very Vanilla card stock. Then sponged on more Champagne shimmer paint & cut it out. That is under the windowpane along with more Crochet trim.
We threaded some Vanilla 3/8" taffeta ribbon through the top of the window pane & tied it below. Then we tied a trinket key around that ribbon with the 1/8" Vanilla taffeta ribbon.
All of the layers are adhered together with hot glue. We glued on a pin back too so it can be pinned on a jacket, sweater or bag.
Here are the other projects we did; Simply Adorned charms!
This is just one of the inserts we made for the 1 1/2" X 2" charm. The Clearly for You stamp set from the Occasions mini catalog has such pretty images in it. The background is sponged lightly with Crumb Cake & Not Quite Navy ink.
Check out the other two we made.
I took the photos out of the charm so you could see the details better. A few of these stamped images are from the Charming set.
The greatest part of owning these Simply Adorned charms is that you can change the inserts to meet your needs. They are so fun to make! And quick too. Just start with the base size of your charm and stamp or add what you like. I think it's great that there is room for layers of embellishments like ribbon or jewels under the beveled glass.
Thank you Jerilyn!! You're awesome!

There are three layers of each flower April - so 9 fabric flowers. It is hard to tell.

On the flower pin, how many material flower layers are there? Because of the pattern I can't tell.
