This would have been perfect for my daughter when she was young. She LOVED her books & always had one in her hands. We should have guessed it; she's in her 20's now & works at a library & will soon receive her degree as a Librarian!
I used various circle punches & one oval punch to make him. Isn't he cute?
And he's attached to a piece of fun foam (2 1/2" X 6 3/4") that I ran through my Big Shot with the Texturz plates. Here's another photo that shows the texture a bit more.
- Card stock - Real Red, Green Galore, Only Orange, Brilliant Blue, Turquoise, White, Black. Books - Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip
- Punches - 1/2" circle - black & white eyes, Horizontal slot - glasses, crop-o-dile - pupils of eyes, 1 1/4", 1" & 1/2" circles & large oval, - for the worm. Word Window punch makes the books, Star punch
- Accessories - Black marker, narrow Red grosgrain ribbon, Texturz plates #4, Big Shot, fun foam
How did I make the whites of his eyes? Punch out two 1/2" circles & adhere them lightly onto a piece of scrap paper. Insert this back into the punch & punch off a bit off the first 1/2" circle punch - this makes for his slightly 'slit' eyes.

This is just so cute!! My almost 9-year-old daughter just decided that we should make bookmarks to put in the loot bags for her birthday party - these are perfect. Funny - one of her friends who is coming to her party dressed up as a bookworm for halloween last year!

I love this LeeAnn! I think I'll have to try this for my coworkers - all librarians!

This is adorable! Of course, as a librarian I'm biased.

LeeAnn, this is adorable... I'm like you, my kids are all too old for this now *sigh*.
But it's precious, and I'm making a copy so I can have it in case I need it, and to show some teacher friends of mine! Thank you for sharing!!
