When we had our big Stampin' Rummage Sale I had a special visitor from Canada come down for it. She brought some of her own fantastic projects with her & one of them used this cool punch art project. The credit goes to Kirsteen here, who first found it in Papercraft Inspirations Magazine.
I used the Level 2 Hostess set 'Asian Artistry'.
Card stock colors are Black, Not Quite Navy & Vanilla. Here dress is punched from Bella Bleu designer series paper.
See below for the steps to make her.
Using the wide oval punch, punch out three Ovals - one from card stock & two from patterned paper.
Adhere the two patterned paper ovals slightly higher & over the card stock oval like the next photo.
These three are adhered together. Be sure you put the print/pattern you want showing facing up.
This photo shows the back side of the above photo after you punch off the excess patterned paper.
Here's the trick: Place the three adhered punch pieces back into the same Wide Oval punch & punch off the excess patterned paper from around the card stock oval.
Here is what it looks like from the front side.
Next you will place that piece back into your punch, but from the top of the back side of the punch - do not slide it into the slot like you normally punch.
You're just rounding & trimming off the excess card stock from the bottom of her dress.
I used a 1 1/4" circle punch for her hair.
From here you would just cut little points into her bangs.
Her face is punched from a 1" circle & the eyes & mouth are added with marker.
Have fun with these!

I love that geisha girl. Thanks for sharing.
