Just thought I'd show you what we did this month at my Card Clubs.
I got this idea from the famous Jan Tink. I love her work! You should check out her blog - she has a unique & amusing way with words & has been called the 'Erma Bombeck of stamping'.
Anyway, we used the Baby Wipe technique here. If you're not familiar with it, here's how:
Fold a moist baby wipe into thirds so it forms a thick pad. Drop a few drops of ink refill onto it in spots - I usually use three colors. You want to drop about 3-4 drops of each color in a spot & repeat with this color 3-4 times before adding spots of another color. I used Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry & Rich Razzleberry - beautiful together!
We stamped the pheasant & leaves using the inked baby wipe, the wheat in Soft Suede & the berries in Dusty Durango. The ground was sponged on with Soft Suede. This card has an unusual fold - like a tri-fold. Here are the dimentions:
Vanilla stamped piece - 4 X 3 1/8"
Dusty Durango piece - 4 1/2" X 3 3/8", score on the 4" mark (**tab not seen)
Soft Suede - 5 X 7" score at the 4" mark
Rich Razzleberry back - 4 1/4 X 5 1/2"
**The Dusty Durango 1/2" tab is adhered underneath the Soft Suede piece before it is adhered to the Rich Razzleberry back layer.
I am currently filling up another card club that will start this Fall. We need just a few more members to join us! These Clubs are a blast & you get fantastic cards like this one each time. Here's a link to all of the cards we've done in the last year or so.
Which time & day/night the new Club will meet will be up the members & my schedule. Call me for more information - 839-6953.
Again, using my favorite Summer Color combo - Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo & Black.
